Super Resolution
When I first read about super resolution, I concluded that this must simply be some fancy version of image enhancement or pixel interpolation…. but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is a seriously clever advancement in imaging technology that delivers a real measurement and spatial resolution improvement.

The following images were taken of a lime kiln using both super resolution and standard modes of the Testo 885. Native resolution is 320×240, and super resolution is 640×480.
SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!

This is an interesting image taken from inside the furnace as it is cooling. Note the difference between Super Resolution and Standard Resolution.
